In 1990 the first edition was held in Munich, Germany, and since then this prestigious event has been organised every year, except in the COVID year 2020.
In order to participate at the World Show, cats have to qualify and the cats winning the Best in Show are awarded the coveted title of World Winner (WW). Each edition of the World Show has 34 World Winners (26 until 2023 as juniors and kitten weren’t devided by sex): in each of the 4 categories there will be 8 (male, female, neuter male, neuter female, junior male, junior female, kitten male and kitten female) and we also have 2 house cats (longhair and shorthair).
The World Show is the annual meeting point for many cat breeders, exhibitors and fanciers from all over the world, and is considered the “cat-event-to-be”.
The World Show always attracts well over 1,200 cats and FIFe is very proud to organise the largest worldwide cat event since many years. The largest edition had a record number of 1,954 cats entered, these cats were judged by a team of 33 judges.
In this section you will find the complete list of all World Winners since 2016, the most recent year is always shown first. Enjoy the trip down memory lane!
