Compulsory Student Judges Seminar

According to the FIFe Judges Rules, article 2.2.1.b, it is compulsory for a student judge in his first category to participate in this training seminar conducted and organised by FIFe before presenting himself for the final examination.

A compulsory student judges seminar will be arranged as needed in different parts of Europe, the minimum duration is one day. The seminar will cover subjects as basic genetics (including colour and patterns), cat anatomy and health, social behaviour and the ethics of judging.

Travel, meals and accommodation costs are always at the student judge’s own expense, FIFe will pay the seminar itself together with the costs of the lecturer(s).

Judges Seminar

With reference to the FIFe Judges Rules, article 2.2.1.a, FIFe will organise a seminar for judges in conjunction with the annual General Assembly.

The seminar will be organised on the Saturday after the General Assembly. FIFe will pay the costs connected with the organisation of the seminar.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the seminar to each judge who has remained in attendance for the whole seminar. If a judge or a student judge proposes to attend the seminar he must inform the FIFe General Secretary at least four weeks before the date of the seminar in order that a certificate can be prepared.

According to the FIFe Judges Rules article 2.2.2.a, also FIFe members are permitted to organise a judges seminar once per year. Travel, meals and accommodation costs for all seminars are always at the judge’s or student judge’s own expense.

Registrars seminar

The Breeding & Registration Commission will conduct on a regular basis a seminar in the various FIFe Member countries for Registrars and members of National Breeding Commissions.

The aim of the Registrars seminar will be to provide information and training for those persons responsible for registrations and breeding programmes in their own organisations at all levels, and also for anyone interested in these processes. There will be the opportunity for participants to address particular issues with which they have difficulty in understanding or practising, and also to bring forward ideas for the future.
