As from 01.07.2026, Corin varieties are fully recognised in the breeds British Longhair/Shorthair (BLH/BSH), Neva Masquerade (NEM) and Siberian (SIB).

Corin cats in colour groups at shows
As from 01.07.2026, the colour groups specifically created for Corin NEM/SIB during the preliminary recognition phase will cease to exist. All varieties in NEM group 7 are moved to the applicable existing NEM group 3, 4, 5 or 6. All varieties in SIB group 10 are moved to the applicable existing SIB group 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.
All certificates awarded in NEM group 7 or SIB group 10 before 01.07.2026 shall be considered obtained in the applicable colour group 3, 4, etc. per that date.
Titles and Best in Show
All preliminary titles (PCH, PIC, etc.) become final (CH, IC, etc.). Show classes 1 – 6 are now open for entry to Corin cats in the relevant variety (for BLH/BSH) or colour group (for NEM/SIB). They can now also be nominated for Best in Show and become Best in Show.

Corin will remain a non-recognised (“x”) variety in Kurilean Bobtail Longhair/Shorthair (KBL/KBS).
